3DD NC

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

I'm talking to the optometrist, really nice guy, telling him about getting married in a few weeks and that we met in Athens, yada, yada and mentioned that we were fans of a band. He looks at me and says "Drive-By Truckers?" which was surprising and then he tells me his nephew in St. Louis is a big fan and follows them around the midwest. He asks if it's ok to text message him and I said sure. He also mentioned his name was Bill and I asked if he was a teacher. He said yes and I guessed that I knew him. Later as I was picking out glasses he comes up to me and says "Tequila Cowboy?". Pretty funny shit. His nephew is our very own DeeDee. :D

I'm from Illinois, living in Mississippi and DeeDee is from St. Louis and I meet his uncle 5 miles from our house. Small ass world.

Way cool. So did you convince deedee to get his ass back on here?

I used to have his e-mail. I'm going to look for it.

That's a crazy story. And btw - Dee Dee posted today for the first time in months.

Anyhow! Got back from an amazing week in Costa Rica early Monday morning and, as always, you miss a week, you miss a lot. Neff?? NYE shows!!! Jay Gonzalez??? Wow.

Hope everyone had a happy and a healthy.

why is it when your life is going swimmingly, the people that you love, adore and just give you the nice warm fuzzies lives just go straight down the shitter???? Why can't for once everyone just have a great few days, weeks etc... of just good ok, days of happy, pleasant and ordinary, just the simple good things in life.

day one My Dorothy had a violent reaction to the stupid shit Pet-something carpet cleaner while cleaning her room. Hives on the feet, hands and forearms. This morning she has the bigg puffy lip look, poor thing, can't go snowboarding :( today

My future mother-n-law can no longer live on her own, she has a degenerate eye illness, just blind. So she is out of the house she lived in for 56 years :(

and to cap of the tri-fecta de crappola, my x-mother in law died today :( :( :( even though she was my x I still went to see her in the home. She always called me Evelyn after her daughter who had passed from an anyereusm when she was 6, so I just played along, made us both feel a little better, she got to hang with the daughter she had missed for so many years and I got to be a little girl again and have my hair curled :)

So here is to my Snowflake (that is what I like to call her) getting depuffed !!!
My future mother-n-law being ok with the move and not too much anxiety
and a prayer to my xhusband and his family at their loss.
so what is it like living with your mommy again BWAHAHAHAHAH

OK does anyone else think this controversy over Brent Musburger's comments about AJ McCarron's girlfriend is a little silly? I mean he said this:

Brent Musburger wrote:You quarterbacks, you get all the good looking women. What a beautiful woman.” If you’re a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throw it around the backyard with pop

Is any of this controversial? I mean the woman was a beauty queen and a former Miss Alabama. She has made a reputation out of being beautiful. It's not like she would be offended at being called a beautiful woman. Also is it controversial that QB's often have pretty girlfriends? I mean really what's the deal here? Musburger has been forced to apologize and honestly I think it's dumb. Am I missing something?
