Somewhere around 30, I seem to have come into my own a little, nothing dramatic, just that if you were to look at the patterns, I seem to have shifted to at least trying to be the better man, (most of the time). Never since that time have I ever regretted doing the right thing. We've been in this particular shit storm for just over 4 years and never once have I wondered if I was going to make it, stay through to the end, and lets face it, there's only one ending. Tonight I did the right thing, and I'm pissed about it! God Fucking Damn it, I was owed something, but her selfish mood cost me it. Tonight for the first time ever, I pictured my life if I just bailed, took the kids, left her to her family and took back my life. It was an ugly picture, I'm not about to try it, but more so, it scares me that I can even work that out in my mind.

Just a fleeting bad patch, I know, but by far the worst it's ever been. I just need this shit to end.

And the world is a slightly better place for another day.

I know it's hard, Gary. Harder than anything anyone should have to bear. All you can do is believe in the right thing and that the right thing is worth doing.

I'm don't think that there are enough shoulders in the world to bear your load, Gary. Cut yourself a little slack for how you react to the massive amounts of stress you are carrying. Sending warm thoughts your way.

What Bean said. I have nothing else except you ARE a good man and I'd be more concerned if you never had that thought. You're human with all the good, bad and ugly that come along. You are ALWAYS in our thoughts.

This. This is harder on you than anyone else. It's ok to acknowledge that, man. Like others have said, that's part of our humanity and kudos to you to have the courage to embrace it.

What do they say? Normal response to an abnormal situation or something like that?

You're a good man and good men feel bad when they aren't perfect (whatever that is). But don't go giving Gary too a hard time about it. He's a fucking trooper.

The human mind can be a pretty dark place. Sometimes you can think something that's absolutely horrible about a person or a situation, etc. Even though you'd never act on those kinds of thoughts, you sometimes can't help but to think them. I think it's pretty normal and not worth beating yourself up over. GW, I think about you guys (and a few others here on 3dd) all the time and I hope and pray from afar that things work out for the best.

Keep your head up brother. You're doing an incredible job of staying strong. Don't doubt that. It's important to have a place to vent to. I'm glad you can.

Gary I can't fathom what you are going through. And going through it with an amount of grace and courage that is frankly impressive. As pearly snaps said, cut yourself some slack man. That is nothing more than your mind dealing with the stress. As you said, you would never do it, you are just dealing with something that takes everything a person has and then takes some more. Don't beat yourself up on top of everything else. Hang in there buddy. I'm praying for you and thinking about you. I know that sounds hollow but just know that I care. We all do. And always know that you have a safe place to vent here openly and in private.

Some really good people have some really rough patches. There would be something wrong with you if you didn't do a little fantasizing about how it could be a little easier.

You are a good man.

You can ask any time, but the answer will always be the same.

I can't believe this, but I'm starting to become a person who prefers winter over summer. sitting around your living room, watching your life piss away around you is a whole lot less offensive during a snow storm than it is on a beautiful summer day.

Sit and wait
5 min. task
sit and wait 45 min.
10 min task
half hour wait
lather rinse repeat.

the least you fuckers could do I be more interesting on FB and shit, it's about all got on weekends

I've tried and I've tried and my life is still boring this weekend. The flat tire, the lost glasses, the battery I still don't think I needed, the stalling out repeatedly in traffic. It was tedious and painful, but dull. Fucking dull. Sorry to let you down! I'll try to be more entertaining next weekend. ;-)
