My first college games. During the late 60's my older cousin Chuck, from Brewton, Ala.. played for Ole Miss.
We would drive down from Memphis for the games. My favorite team in the west but they ain't got a
chance this year. We were at one of the last games Col. Reb attended. Kinda sad.

My high school mascot is still the Rebels. It used to be a little fat guy in a Confederate uniform holding a Confederate flag. When I was there, around 1991, they took the flag away and it was a little fat guy in a Confederate uniform giving the thumbs up. Now I don't know what it is but I imagine they've done away with the little fat guy in a Confederate uniform.

We lost 9 of our best players to the nfl, but that's not an excuse. The gator O-line really disappoints me.
LSU beat Fla all day but the gator comeback in the last quarter gave me some hope. If the gators can score
first today they should win.
LSU has one some games this year that they shouldn't have(last week wasn't one of those) There is
something special about teams that can do that. They could take the west. No problems today though.

And my upset of the week, SoCar over Bama as the "Ole Ball Coach" pulls some shenanigans.

My family, Ala fans, thought the Fla loss was more of an upset. I had to explain to them that both
Fla's losses came to teams that were undefeated and ranked higher than them. Whereas Ala, #1, lost to
a team that had lost to Ala's biggest rival and ranked 22. Ala rolls today while the Col. is rolling in his grave.
Meanwhile the Cocks will have their hands full today but I think they win. If the gators don't make it
to the ATL, I hope the Ole Ball Coach does.

As much as I like Denard, Mich St. has "jungle karma" this week. Mich St over Mich in a shoot out.
