Hideki Irabu found dead in CA. Felt bad for him all the time for the way the Yanks treated him. I know he didn't do that great but being called a fat pus-sy something or other by your boss is just wrong.
Re: Baseball 2011
I wonder what the front office is like with Hendry and Co. They can't unload shit.
I personally love listening to Len & Bob try to come up with positive remarks. Painful.

Pence is a good pick up but adding Asomugha will make all the difference.

I'll see your Pence, and raise you a Bourn. I am absolutely THRILLED with this move. What an upgrade over Schaeffer and McClouth. A legitimate leadoff guy...it seems like its been forever since the braves have had one of those. Add in the fact that the Braves got him for basically nothing, compared to what they were going to have to give up for Pence. This was a great move.

Yeah, Michael Bourn and everybody else in the league..
Two straight gold gloves and 152 stolen bases and counting in the last two and a half years. I'll take it.
Hope he has a great second half with us!

Batting .300 with a homer against Doc! Not shabby.

Fuckin' Cubs. They're gonna confuse Ricketts & Co and somehow validate everyone that has been invalidated if they keep this shit up.

He's definitely silencing the people questioning that pick-up.

Uggla is beastin'. Glad he finally found his groove.
Re: Baseball 2011
Go ahead and talk about your Braves, Giants and Phils. The Brewers are playing as well as anyone right now and without Rickie Weeks. Only the Phils have a better rotation at this point and the Crew will be healthy in a few weeks and will end up with a better record than the Giants/Dbacks. Having been a die hard since the day I was born it is nice to still care about baseball in August.

My town's little league team is in the first semifinal of the Little League World Series. Check it out today on ESPN2 at 2:00 PST.

Yep, a 35-25 record in the last 60 meaningless games of the year will be exactly what Ricketts needs to use as an excuse to not make any significant changes.Erdlivz wrote:Fuckin' Cubs. Good luck.
Highlight of my baseball career was at 12 years old when we were one win away from Williamsport.......we lost.

Re: Baseball 2011
Yesterday, I went to turner field for the Braves-Cubs games. I saw the braves steal 5 bases and the cubs commit 4 errors. The braves took a 4-0 lead. And, the Braves lost. Weird, weird game. Disappointing to lose that series, and disappointing for Uggla's hit streak to end.
Bright spot...I shook Dale Murphy's hand and got his autograph...so, all in all it was a good day for me.
