Re: cross Kudzu off the MIA list
You can put me back on the MIA list. I was recently banned from the board for 24 hours for what was deemed by Admin as "unacceptable behavior". This entailed calling it like I see it with Rev Matt and, as silly as it may sound, standing up to tinnitus for derogatory remarks he made about Matthew Sweet in the Listening thread. It's not the first time I've spoken to Matt in that manner, nor have I been the only one. Yet, I was singled out for speaking my mind. I have no desire to be a part of a board where these type of double standards are in effect. Anyone that would like to stay in touch, please feel to drop me a line.

Re: cross Kudzu off the MIA list
Dude, they pulled a Branded* on Mod Zip and HE still posts here.
*Branded is an American Western series which aired on NBC from 1965 through 1966, sponsored by Procter & Gamble in its Sunday night 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time period, and starred Chuck Connors as Jason McCord, a United States Army Cavalry captain who had been drummed out of the service following an unjust accusation of cowardice. The opening title credits of each episode in the series feature a depiction of McCord's cashiering: his hat is pulled off, his epaulets are torn from his uniform, his buttons are pulled off, and his saber is broken, while a drum plays over Dominic Frontiere and Alan Alch's theme song.

Would you feel like it was more just around here if I got banned for 24 hrs too?
Cause I'm mostly a dick. I can pull that off.

Lol some of you really racked up some posts since I've been a regular huh?
Surely there has been lots of disagreements and such during all these post right? How's this any more different people been butting heads since 9bullets and we all usually agree to disagree is this not still our normal protocol?

Well there's always the two Facebook groups, it's pretty hard to get banned over there.

You're an awful thoughtful guy to be such a dick. And please don't pull it off till you're in private.Beebs wrote:Would you feel like it was more just around here if I got banned for 24 hrs too?

I'd rather an environment be allowed to exist here where one could stand up to assholes like tinnitus without being asked to apologize to them. Which begs the question, why wasn't he permanently banned long ago? As for the Rev, I have no problem with him as a person, it's just that he comes across as though he's a member of the Truckers and the world's leading authority of all they say and do. BTW, I haven't been the first to make that observation (in public or private) but I'm sure as hell the one that's being singled out for it.brett27295 wrote:Well there's always the two Facebook groups, it's pretty hard to get banned over there.

With all due respect Kudzu, are you fucking kidding me? Unless there's something I'm unaware of Tinnitus's greatest offense is occasionally being a bit obtuse. How can you gripe a 24 hour wrist slap while calling for a permanent banning based on what, hurt feelings?Kudzu Guillotine wrote:I'd rather an environment be allowed to exist here where one could stand up to assholes like tinnitus without being asked to apologize to them. It took something like 8 years to get rid of LJ and he regularly, openly called for the extermination of swaths of the human race.

You see? He knows he's a dick, even when he's trying to be nice. And note that "fellow" part. I wouldn't take that off of him if I were you.Beebs wrote:As a fellow long time member

I can't remember the last time I got upset over something that was said on an internet message board. Probably 1999 or so.

Re: Kudzu's back on the MIA list
Sigh. After a certain amount of time shouldn't we be used to each other's foibles? Kind of like a small town or a business office or whatever. The downside is that we can often predict what others are going to say before they say it. The upside is that we root for Iowa State in the tournament, there's not a lot of flaming or overwrought reactions and there are probably fewer misunderstandings than occur in less familiar surroundings. At least that's what I would have said.
Damn, beebs, those were some of the best straight lines ever. I'm sorry I didn't see them soon enough to take advantage.
I see what you did there, bovine.

I would chalk it up to it being the offseason. But that's the UGA football board that I frequent, not this one. No full moon.
Oh well. I personally don't like bannings but then yall probably knew that already.
