This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

I didn't find it creepy, just sad.

Jack Reacher. Mediocre. I like the books & Tom Cruise is horribly miscast. Napoleon syndrome I guess. I did spot the author, Lee Child, in a cameo.

Yep. Except I didn't see Child.

Loved reading the books, but once they cast Cruise as Reacher I can't do it anymore. Can't get the image of little Tom out of my head while reading. They ruined a good thing :(

I like the Reacher books too, but nothing will ever top the Travis McGee series by John D. McDonald. If you're not familiar do yourself a favor and get down to the local used book store.

I didn't hate the first movie. Not great but not as bad as I feared. Haven't seen the new one.

Snowden. Excellent film & overlooked. Joshua Gordon Levitt is really really good in it.

The Accountant. Was much better than the reviews would lead you to believe. Good cast & script.

Indeed. We DVRed it off HBO. The writing is wretched and the over-acting is almost at parody level. Not even Amy Adams could come close to saving this

Claudia Cardinale!!

Got a new blu ray player to go w/ the semi-new tv and I may never leave the house again (except for dbt of course). The clarity, sharpness, color and all that good stuff is just incredible, even on "regular" dvd's, even those in b&w. I am totally blown away. Even the initial warnings and studio logos are incredible

Other than checking out a few different types of movies just to see what they'd be like, watched Terminator and The French Connection during the most recent snow day. Both hold up well w/in their genres, but the special effects in terminator do suffer from the incredible clarity & sharpness of the blu-ray picture. Kind of like how HDTV has made watching baseball games an exercise in not looking at the fans behind the plate eating hot dogs and checking their phones.

I didn't hate it but there aren't many superhero movies I don't like. I have no interest in Deadpool whatsoever (yes, yes I know people love it but I hate that character like poison) and I wouldn't watch Suicide Squad if you paid me but this one was fine even if it was a bit wooden.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved

Dead pool is the only super hero movie actually did like outside of the Nolan Bateman films. I'm guessing I'd like Guardians of the Galaxy as well

pretty much agree. I did find Ant Man pretty entertaining.

So is Man of Steel as awful as Superman vs. Batman? I have been wanting to see if but can pass if it's comparable to that turd

Guardians of the Galaxy was awesome, though I fear for the sequel. Hard to catch lightning in a bottle twice

There were 3 almost redeeming qualities to Man Of Steel: Amy Adams, Diane Lane, and Michael Shannon. They are definitely the polish on that fecal abomination.
