Really, REALLY liked this. Acting, plot, characters, dialog, the whole shebang.

finally watched this. The 4 years I worked at Tower in Austin (92-96) were pretty amazing, in spite of having a truly heinous boss. Some of the best years of my life, and I made some amazing friends, most of whom I still communicate with to this day.

If you haven't already checked out the film, 20TH Century Women, you really should. It's magnificent. I think if you are old enough to remember 1979 it will really strike a chord. They got it right!

Yes sir! Once every four or five years give or take there is a movie that comes out that I really want to see. I'm probably forgetting one but this is the first one I can think of since American Sniper. I really enjoyed this movie. Jeff Bridges never disappoints. The wilder of the two brothers reminded me of my buddy Chris so much that I told him he had to see this movie.

I know you didn't ask me, but why should that stop me? I enjoyed it and thought they did good job translating the book. Tom Hanks is as dependably good as always. But the book is better and the movie is good, not great. Worth a rental imho.

Never averse to feedback from Bubba regardless of the question or whether or not I directed specifically at you. Always assume I want to hear what you have to say. I'm serious.

pretty much have to parrot what Bubba said, though I can't speak to the book since I haven't read it. Definitely worth your time if you're the least bit interested in Cold War espionage. At times I feel like Spielberg doesn't think the audience is intelligent enough to see the comparisons he's trying to draw between the U.S. and Communist countries, so he gets hamfisted and makes the point overly obvious, but I'm only talking about a few scenes in the latter part of the film. Mark Rylance alone is worth watching

Lol. He is interesting for sure and you would like him. Hair down to his waist and a Dime bag Darrell style goatee with a lot of that character's more likeable qualities and every bit of his toughness.

True story, he once killed eighteen wild boars in a single day. No guns were involved in this. Just Chris, his dogs, and a knife in a swamp infested with wild hogs, snakes, and Gators. I've been trying to get him to Homecoming.

Sounds like Chris would be an excellent addition to The Circle Of Trust.
