This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

Presently streaming on the Netflix. Hadn't even heard of this but I've been sort of out of the loop on new (and more recent) movies for a while now.

I didn't really like the structure of this documentary, but Keith came across as a VERY happy and appreciative person. In the Maron interview, he states when his 93 year old mother was on her deathbed she said, "Keith, this morphine is not bad....."

agree, there really wasn't any structure, just an excuse to let us all watch Keef being Keef. Very enjoyable but not gonna win any awards. I could listen to him tell stories and just riff on his life. Total LOL moment when he talks of seeing his father for the first time in decades and taking Ronnie Wood "for protection!" Ronnie Wood is one of my favorite people ever, bar none, but c'mon, besides the contents a bottle what can Ronnie protect you from, tough guy he ain't

An obscure band called Col. Parker released an equally obscure album called Rock n Roll Music back in the 90's, maybe the 80's. Highly recommended.

Pitch Perfect 2 - The first movie was a delightful surprise. This sequel is a disappointing bomb. Not even Anna Kendrick can save this insult to the audience. Feh.

The Bridge of Spies - Like. A good story well told in typical Spielberg style.

Love Rounders!

A Most Wanted Man - I think this was Phillip Seymour Hoffman's last role and he went out in style - truly superb. The movie's task, adapting John Le Carre's very uncinematic novel, was almost insurmountable and given that, I thought the director, screenwriter, et al did a fine job. I thought it was well worth watching but I'm not sure how it would go over if you haven't read the book.

so glad we finally found time for it! We had it on the DVR for a long time but kept waiting for the right moment to have nearly 3 hours to commit to it. Such an ambitious premise and he pulled it off! Not enough superlatives to say how great this was.

Watching the Eagles doc (History of the Eagles) in bits and pieces this week. Very entertaining. And it adds a whole new layer to the Documentary Now! episode on Blue Jean Committee. Hader is basically playing Meisner and Frey, Armisen is playing Henley and Leadon.

The Martian - really liked this one. Very impressive on all levels and imho significantly better than the overrated Gravity.

Spotlight - A very professional , well-made movie w/ excellent performances by all concerned. Yet the "star" of the movie is really the story which remains incredible, absolutely astonishing after all these years.

Binge watched the 3 bourne movies this wkend. Still love 'em. And I was a little surprised that the storyline held up better than I remembered - I remembered them as rather disjointed, 3 separate movies held together only by suspension of disbelief and a title character, but they actually do fit together reasonably well.

definitely worth the watch. Nothing spectacular but entertaining, edifying, and rest assured, you'll be hungry by the time it's done! Also, it's not terribly long so it won't, dare I say, eat up too much of your time
