The Tedeschi Trucks Invasion

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

The Tedeschi Trucks Invasion

Post by beantownbubba »

Covid willing, The Tedeschi Trucks Band will be playing 4 nites in Boston (Orpheum) and 7 nites in NYC this fall (Beacon). I knew they were popular but did not realize that they were at a 7 night run level of popularity. Good for them.

I had a chance to light one of their shows when it was just The Derek Trucks Band. Very cool, though Trucks is weirdly averse to the (literal) spotlight when his own name is on the marquee
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

True. Not quite Carly Simon territory but he's clearly from the "I let my axe do the talking" school of guitarists.

He managed to find all the spots on stage where there was no light. I get that he has a singer, but I'm pretty sure people are there to see him

I hope you can make some of those, bubba. They are fantastic live.
Don't hurt people, and don't take their stuff.

Agreed. I’ve seen them several times. Not sure about these dates yet.

Looks like they are popular enough to play bigger venues, but would rather play smaller and way better places.
Really good for them, and those who can make these shows.
