Favorite C-19 song

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

Favorite C-19 song

Post by Swamp »

So far Randy Newman's is my favorite. As much as I love Adam Sandler, (he wss so mice to my mother during Super bowl week in Jax) his is the worst. I like the chorus in quarantine togethet but I'm with holding judgment till I hear the whole band.
and the rest as they say is uh er uh, well somebodies history somewhere?

I just heard Mike Campbell's new C-19 song. Sigh. I had tickets to see the Dirty Knobs here in Austin next week.

However, I might have a slight bone to pick with Mr. Campbell. As soon as I hit play, I thought the song sounded oddly familiar. During our second week of Quarantine, back in the middle of March, I was screwing around on guitar and recorded a funny little song for my neighbors. No judgment, there was no practice or production, pretty much off the cuff. But, a funny coincidence that made me smile.

Love each other, Motherfuckers!

Billy Bragg's, by a million miles. Only one that has genuinely touched me.

More than the way Patricia Muth was, deep down in there, when her brother, Allen, looked at her?

I'm old enough to know better than to phrase something like that. Okay, maybe it doesn't touch me quite like that. But it's a moving song! You might say it's deeper in feeling than some of the others.

This one's pretty great. Also a John Prine tribute as well.
