"There’s a brand new, 12-hour documentary titled They Called Us Outlaws on the way, which was produced by country great Jessi Colter, who was of course married to a pioneer of the outlaw movement, Waylon Jennings."

Two part John Prine Doc coming! Good to see they are using a respected production house. He should be declared a national treasure and have his face chiseled into Mt Rushmore. I miss him.

Rant Incoming.
I'm a big fan of documentaries of all sort, but unsurprisingly, Music is my favorite subject in school.
But, annoyingly it seems that when a new doc comes out and is hyped, it just isn't much available to watch. By the time it (finally) streams, I've probably forgotten about it. The heck of it is, I'm more than happy to PAY to stream it to get money to the filmmakers, but this is rarely an option. Two recent examples are the new Indigo Girls and Karen Carpenter docs. Both look good. Ugh. Rant over.
Speaking of good documentaries, be sure to check out these two gems. Both made by friends of mine here in Austin.

Mojo doc looks good. I actually hung out with him 1 night at SXSW. It was a private poker party. Mojo was the same in real life haha.pearlbeer wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 7:22 pmRant Incoming.

You should check this one out. It's on Apple+ I think. Lot of footage I've never seen before. I'm a pretty big fan of Rowland S. Howard. The young Nick Cave is compelling, too.pearlbeer wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 8:33 pmits a fun doc. Two of the ToadLiquors live in my hood!chuckrh wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 8:07 pmMojo doc looks good.
