Homecoming wrap up and book announcement SECOND PRINTING

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

Homecoming wrap up and book announcement SECOND PRINTING

Post by d@nuci »

After doing this for 5 years now I always wonder how this year’s Homecoming can possibly equal the preceding year, but it not only measured up, but surpassed--no blew away--last year! From the moment that Patterson set the tone on Thursday night by coming out with the Gary face tribute and continued it by exhorting us to love each other throughout the weekend, I sensed we were on our way to another special gathering!

Before we get to the numbers, which are a tidy and tangible way to measure the success of an event, I want to talk about the heartbeat of the weekend, which is each and every one of you that come together from around the world to be a part of something larger than yourself.

There are too many acts of sacrifice and generosity to mention here, so I’ll thank you in general terms. The entire staff at Nuci’s Space appreciates every pot of chili made, table moved, poster donated, piece of wood carved, and brush stroke of art that makes this weekend possible. The collection of talent, will power, and sacrifice that it takes to pull off a gathering like we had for Homecoming is staggering and overflowing with love. You inspire us to keep working towards our mission to prevent suicide, alleviate suffering for people living with a brain illness, and to fight to end the stigma of mental illness.

• The silent auction raised a record breaking $10,900!!
• Three Dimes Down collected $34,614.94 through their various fundraisers (“The Company We Keep” book, DVD sales, raffles, birthday fundraisers, private donations,
cookout, etc.)
• For an all-time high total of $45,514.94!

With this kind of support, it seems like a good time to keep the momentum going so we’ve decided to take pre-sale orders for another round of “The Company We Keep” book, which has already sold 500 copies!
If we can get 200 orders by April 1st , that will allow us to have the funds to print another run of 500 books. You can submit your order at the following website:
http://www.thecompanywekeepbook.com

Thanks for your support!
Dave and the entire staff of Nuçi’s Space

Awesome news, as someone who has seen close family members struggle with depression and mental health issues, I truly appreciate the work you guys do.

Is it looking like a second printing is going to happen?

“The Company We Keep” Drive-By Truckers Book Pre-Order Update

Great news, we have reached our goal of 200 pre-orders which ensures that we will indeed do a 2nd printing in April/May with orders shipping in June….thanks to everyone who has placed an order so far! Due to the expense and logistics around a 2nd printing we plan to order a total of 500 books (it’s possible this will be the last edition), so if you’re undecided about ordering, now would be the time to do it so that we can get an accurate order by April 1st!

Thanks!

Dave
