These guys are still going at it, huh? Wow! Been around how long- since mid/early 80's. Blitz and D.D. Verni: staying power, indeed.

The new Todd Snider track, "Just like Overnight"(w/Jason Isbell) is one of the best written songs I think he's ever done and has me psyched for that record.
I think I like the new Delines record better than any new release from last year. The new Hayes Carll songs are promising too. 2019 is starting off killer.

I could not agree more. HWA hasn't aged well for me, and this is just gut punching Todd at his best.

Oh yes they are! They have had a resurgence in recent years starting with the Ironbound record. They have announced a tour for the spring and I hope to catch a show in May.

I fell out of the loop after The Killing Kind but then caught back up years later up to Necroshine. Still waaaaaay behind.
Fun fact: still have my long sleeve concert tee from a show I saw at the Trocadero in Philly on the I Hear Black tour- 26 yrs. ago?!

A posthumous J.J. Cale record is coming out in April. The first single is called "Chasing You" and it's available now. It sounds like classic Cale to me.
Sounds like a DBT album: A musical love letter to the American South---the good people, the great culture and food---the cruel, tragic history---a new album.
