No "Scotty Doesn't Know?" What the hell? I will say that Shea Serrano, the co-writer of that article, is really funny and insightful. His books on rap and basketball are a blast.

Read the list just to make sure Dewey Cox was (rightfully) included.
Turn it up to 10 and rip off the knob

No Partridge family? Author is probably still pissed that they replaced Jeremy Gelbwaks after season one.

No Bob Roberts or Tender Mercies (too early in morning for me to check to see if songs in Tender Mercies meets their criteria)

While their choice from CB4 (hilarious film) is great, I would have gone with Sweat of My Balls

Re: The Best Songs in the (Fictional) Universe
That is an unforgivable omission. I had to go back and look, I thought for sure they had a Nashville song in their. I think the exceptions we are taking with their choices show how much older than them we are

And also why aren't they in the fucking rock and roll hall of fame, too?

^^^^I shoulda thought of that one. Good show, RolanK!
And this even earlier classic!
It only came out a year before their A Star Is Born choice, but I take your point nonetheless. It explains how they missed this gem from the sixties!whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:That is an unforgivable omission. I had to go back and look, I thought for sure they had a Nashville song in their. Re: The Best Songs in the (Fictional) Universe
To be fair to them, it does say right in the subheader that they are referring to songs in film/movies
I would have to go berserker if they were including TV and left out this epic
