Cocaine and Rhinestones

Fuckin' killer podcast from David Allan Coe's son, Tyler. It's about C&W in the twentieth century and it lives up to the potential of the premise. It kinda pisses me off as I had the same idea and floated it around, but my procrastinating ass wouldn't have gotten around to it.

I def recommend the episodes on the Louvin Brothers, the Kershaws and the Tom T. Hall.
E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle.

Yeah, I've got just one episode left. This podcast is great. Can't imagine any 3DD member not enjoying it immensely. Also, if you are ever feeling like an inadequate parent, just listen to the Wynona episode.

Binged on this yesterday. Especially loved the Okie From Muskogee and Kershaw brothers episodes.

Been meaning to start listening for months, finally got around to the first couple this past weekend and I love it so far. Can't wait to finish the rest pretty soon.

Tyler is the guest on Chris Shiflett's Walking the Floor podcast this week. Pretty fun conversation:

I heard Tyler on Walking the Floor as well. I started the podcast and blew through it in a week. It is incredible. So many great stories and insights into this music. There is also a Spotify playlist someone did that has all the music from the series. I highly recommend both.

Hard to believe it’s been 3 years, but season 2 starts today. Episode 1 is about Starday Records.
