I just picked up new albums from Corrosion of Conformity and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club last week. Ben Miller Band and Walking Papers have new albums coming out this week or next. Really looking forward to new albums from Temperance Movement and Monster Magnet in the next couple of months.
I've read Howlin' Rain has an album in the works.
Clutch and Magpie Salute are supposed to be in the studio around now, so there are two to look forward to around the fall.
01. Space Gun
02. Colonel Paper
03. King Flute
04. Ark Technican
05. See My Field
06. Liar’s Box
07. Blink Bank
08. Daily Get Ups
09. Hudson Rake
10. Sport Component National
11. I Love Kangaroos
12. Grey Spat Matters
13. That’s Good
14. Flight Advantage
15. Evolution Circus
Out 3/23/18

Safe to say I'm most looking forward to Struggler
coming out on Cornelius Chapel records.

New Dexateens right? So great.
CCR has some good stuff on the horizon. That Caleb Caudle record will probably be pretty strong.
I'm also aware of another soon-to-be-announced project from them that has great potential, in which I'll probably have some sort of involvement.

Yep; could've sworn I typed "Dexateens'" before Struggler but guess it got ate.
I'm crossing my fingers that I can make the 'teens/Bohannons show at the Earl Saturday night, but we'll see.

My favorite release so far this year. I can definitely foresee this being in my top five at year's end, if not the number one spot. I love Mount Moriah and always will but this is Heather McEntire in full bloom. I've also heard rumblings of a new Phil Cook release in June. The shows he and Heather did over the weekend at the Pinhook in Durham to celebrate the release of Lionheart were out of this world.
They also have a new record (Top of the World) due in early March on Schoolkids Records with cover art by Skillet Gilmore (Whiskeytown, Patty Hurst Shifter). If you haven't done so already, you can check out a preview track ("Waste of Time") here.

Loving that HC McEntire as well. Really beautiful.
You are right on a new Phil Cook too. Not sure about the date, but he was holed up in a studio in WI right around the new year.

theres a new ryan adams song out there today. "baby i love you." sadly not a ronettes cover but i dig the jangle, nicechange of pace from his recent stadium reverb obsession
Richmond Fontaine released an instrumental soundtrack to Willy's new novel, Don't Skip Out on Me. Great contemplation music and definitely recommended to any fans of pedal steel, which Paul Brainerd (as always) plays it heavenly.

Still need to get the book, but the record is in my top 3 of the year so far.
One of the great bands of my life.
Criminally underrated. WIsh there was more gas in that tank.

New Moondoggies record in April.
Pardon me while I say FUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKK YEEEEEAAAAHHHHHH
Sorry, their website has made it seem like the band was defunct (no tour dates, no updates for awhile). I'm super stoked now
