ray mckinnon was born to play a dying hank williams.

i thought the david fricke bloodkin boxset thing was just him being a smartass. saying he needed one to catch up on all the bloodkin he had missed. my memory is bad, tho. i could be making that up.

I just dug it up to check:

"In fact, this is their eighth - they debuted in 1994 with Good Luck Charm - and that doesn't include two solo outings by Hutchens, Bloodkins main songwriter, and six CD's of unreleased material dating back to 1988 coming in an imminent Bloodkin box set"

Kelly’s EP now available for download. Free!
Dear Friends,

So, for a while now Joey and I have been tossing around this idea of me recording a solo record. I am not the songwriting type, but I have friends of that sort who have, at one time or another, called Murfreesboro home. We asked a few of them to donate a song for our little project, and that’s how this EP came about. I can’t thank these guys enough for such awesome songs. We’ve been working on the record in bits and pieces over the last couple of months, and it’s as ready as it’ll ever be…and it’s free, y’all! Hope you enjoy. –Kelly

The songs:

“Happiness Looks Good On You” by Jason Yeary
“This Life of Ours” by James Jackson Toth
“Stone and Moss” by Casey Strength
“Temptation” by Kent Eugene Goolsby
“Alone At Night” by Keith Pratt
“Don’t Give Up On Me” by Joey Kneiser

The band:

Kelly Kneiser, Joey Kneiser, Shane Spresser, Keith Pratt, Bingham Barnes, Eric Giles.

Recorded by Joey Kneiser and Stephen Trageser at Shane’s House and Joey’s House.

Produced by Joey Kneiser

Mastered by Matthew Louis Pence

Not exactly - as i recall, she'd always get nominated but never win. Rush can't even get themselves nominated. Kiss, neither (tho i guess they were nominated once, or something like that, i dont exactly keep tabs on the stupid thing). The RnRHOF sounded like a good idea at the time, and it was fun enuf to visit, but damn it's a fuckin waste of time, space & money as an actual place to honor the best in the genre. I don't understand how people can get so exercised about it.
