Greg Lake R.I.P.

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

Greg Lake: King Crimson and ELP star dies aged 69

I've long moved away from much interest in Prog Rock but In the Court of the Crimson King will always be a favorite. R.I.P. Mr. Lake.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved

Don't hurt people, and don't take their stuff.

Sad.

Why have I always thought King Crimson was all Robert Fripp. Stupid me - going back and checking it out again from a different perspective.

2016 remains a son of a bitch to the very end :( :( :(

after having not thought of ELP in literally decades, the past two days I had C'est La Vie running through my head, completely random and out of nowhere.
Son, this ain't a dream no more, it's the real thing

King Crimson pretty much IS all about Robert Fripp, plus who he chooses to play with. This may explain:

I've really dug deep into Crimson in the past year, after having only known the In The Court Of The Crimson King lp and a few various and sundry other songs before. So much great musicianship. A good beginner's primer would be the previously mentioned debut, Larks' Tongues In Aspic, Red, and Discipline.

Anyway, carry on. Sorry for the diversion.
Now it's dark.

Brain Salad Surgery and Tarkus are two kicking albums in that genre by ELP. Takes me back a ways.
