The Tommy Stinson Thread
This is easily the best Rock & Roll news I've heard in a while. Along with the new record Tommy is re-releasing the stone cold classic Friday Night is Killing Me on glorious vinyl. Plus there's a tour coming and goodies available through a Pledge Music campaign.

He's playing at Harlow's, which is my favorite room in town.

Re: The Tommy Stinson Thread
I feel fortunate to have seen one of the Cowboys in the Campfire shows with Chip Roberts at the Cave in Chapel Hill last July. When packed, the Cave (which is actually underground) can feel more claustrophobic than usual but ticket sales were limited to 60 people (I think capacity is around 100) so you could actually move around and breathe in there. Skylar Gudasz opened. I made my way to the front of the stage and stayed there pretty much the entire night. Even when I had to take a break due to the heat I was able to walk right back up there. Definitely one of my favorite shows of last year.

A little off key but hey it's Tommy Stinson and you gotta love Colbert's bit at the end

Memphis music royalty in the form of Steve Selvidge on guitar. You can go to a bar around here on a normal Tuesday night and see Steve playing.
Re: The Tommy Stinson Thread
I checked out Bash & Pop for the first time earlier this week and I loved it.

I expected that I'd enjoy this record but, I didn't expect to be damn near obsessed with it. This thing is probably in my top few records of the last several years.Tequila Cowboy wrote:Me either. It's phenomenal.jr29 wrote:I cannot stop listening to this new record.
