"Thom's Left Eye" would be a good name for a band.

Probably not a popular band in these parts, but I'd put them top five bands of the past 25 years
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

I don't think I'd disagree with that.

Probably the greatest British group of the 2000's, from Kid A onwards. Most of the albums before that are "meh" at best imo

The Bends is one of the most overrated albums of all time in my book. OK Computer could have been great, several great tracks, but has more filler than you'd think from it's reputation.

Kid A is quite possibly a Desert Island Album for me.

OK Computer is the best. Kid A has the filler.

OK Computer
Amnesiac
In Rainbows
The Bends
Kid A
Hail to the Thief
The King of Limbs
Pablo Honey
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

What a proposterous thing to say. I have never come across anybody as presumptious and consistently wrong as you are, especially when YOU are telling ME what I think. Which is after pretty much every post I make.

Why don't you tell us what you think about the new Beyonce album?

It was a joke. Your list favors the less guitar driven tracks. Settle down

Yeah, I thought it was a joke straight away. I mean it's so funny it just jumps out of the screen and the tears are literally streaming down my face I'm laughing so much.

You never told us what you think of the new Beyonce btw?

Radiohead does not create filler.

OK Computer is possibly the best anything, ever.

Don't talk your sass. Go listen to it (preferably on vinyl, at volume). It's perfect.

Sorry, was just pulling Zip's chain, the bugger deserves it ;)

OK Computer is solid gold 10/10.

(So is Kid A mind you)

This thread has been good for me. I have buddies that swear by Radiohead and I am only really into In Rainbows. I have listened to four albums today. Funny, I could just never "get into it" but I have a better understanding now. Still not my favorite band, but there is a lot of good there.

Not my favorite band by a long shot but I dig them and I don't think you can argue that they're not one of the most important bands of the century thus far. I love OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief and usually break them out in late fall/winter. I haven't listened to anything post-HTTT though.

I really like "The Bends". That album rocks & has a lot of good songs. Like most of their stuff even though they get a little artsy at times. I saw them very early on, 1st US tour, in a very small club. You could tell they had big potential.

Sure, but I guess I don't consider "artsy" to be a pejorative

It means they're borderline pretentious. I don't have a problem with that if the artists are genuine and talented enough, which Radiohead certainly are.

I think Jason Isbell summed it up perfectly when he tweeted "I hope Radiohead never stops taking themselves too seriously".

I don't get it. And by that I don't mean I disagree, I mean I don't understand.

They can be a little dour. Is that pretentious?
