Halfway into the year and Rest in Chaos is in my number one spot followed by Sturgill.

Still got Lydia, DBT, Wilco and Earle & Colvin to go though.
E quindi uscimmo a riveder le stelle.

Right now my top six is something like HWA, Jayhawks, Sturgill, Nada Surf, David Bazan, and Richmond Fontaine. Looking forward to Felice Brothers the most.

None of those would make my top 10. Mine would probably be Ray LaMontagne, Lucius, Wussy, Radiohead, Kanye and Dr Dog
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Forgot about Wussy. That might end up in my top 10, too. It's taking a long time to grow on me. Haven't gotten around to Radiohead yet.

Oh man, I forgot about that RF being this year. I've listened to it so much I guess I thought it had been out longer. It's tied with HWA with me right now as I can't bring myself to choose.

I respect Rick Rubin's body of work as a producer, but he can fuck right off with what he's done this year with The Avett Brothers.

For example, live version of "Satan Pulls the Strings" from the past year or so of touring (skip ahead to around 1m25s):

New Wilco stuff coming down the pipe soon

http://pitchfork.com/news/66908-wilco-a ... ck-listen/

A couple of tracks made available today - sound like they could have been on either of the last couple of LP's so no surprises, still god solid stuff from first listen.

This 3-disc expanded edition is due for release on Friday, September 16th. As has been the case with all other releases in the most recent reissue campaign series, there will also be a Super Deluxe Edition, though it doesn't include any additional material.

Led Zeppelin to release expanded version of their BBC Sessions compilation
New edition includes a lost session featuring a song that has never featured on an official Zeppelin release

I always forget what comes out in a given year and I have to check. But off the top of my head, it's:

Shearwater - Jet Plane and Oxbow
William Tyler - Modern Country
PJ Harvey - Hope Six Demolition Project
Tim Hecker - Love Streams
The Hotelier - Goodness
Wye Oak - Tween

After Shearwater it's not really ranked, though Wye Oak and Hotelier are probably two and three, one way or another.

I guess Jesu/Sun Kil Moon have another album coming out June 2017. This anti-Michael Jackson song "He's Bad" was recently posted. Tell us what you really think Mark. Not suitable for children.

Also a double Sun Kil Moon album in February, Common as Light and Love Are Red Valleys of Blood. God Bless Ohio posted yesterday. http://www.sunkilmoon.com/godblessohio/
