new tour: nice combo: Justin Townes Earle...

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

Exciting! We're hitting the Northampton one at the end of the month. Anyone know if he's with a full band or all by himself? Every time I've seen him it's been solo acoustic.

Hopefully I can hit the First Ave. show. Nice ticket prices, too.

When he was in Madison a few weeks ago, he had a stand up bass player and a fiddle player. He seems to change it up every tour, though.

Good to see you're off that "long live rock" Tom Petty soapbox Joelle and come back to reality. This should be excellent and I'd really like to make it out for the Lincoln Hall show. I saw that one of the dates was with the Felice Brothers as well. Too bad I don't live in Florida or wherever it was taking place.
Midnight At the Movies was an excellent album. Can't wait to hear the follow up!

Jessica Lea Mayfield would probably be better in a club/bar setting. I saw her outdoors (opening for Avett Brothers) and it was one of those "wrong place, wrong crowd" sort of disconnects. The songs were pretty good, but she was dying up there.

I'm pretty sure she was complete drunk as well
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

I finally picked up Midnight at the Movies last week. Great songs, I really dig it. Thanks for the heads-up, I'll be checking the tour dates.
Not forever, just for now.

Justin cut his hand, needed 19 stitches. Ouch! Had to cancel some shows...

Harlem River Blues is still $2.99 at Amazon's MP3 store if you haven't picked it up yet. Also, right now Amazon is giving away a free $3 credit towards a bunch of new albums in their MP3 store. Not sure if HRB is one of them, but I used it toward the new Black Mountain.
