Not sure why this was removed from YouTube but it is available on CBS' website.

The NYT has a couple of excerpts from Bob Dylan's new book, a collection of short pieces on 65 great songs. I love both parts on "My Generation," but am less enthused about his commentary on "Strangers in the Night" (not terrible, just not as good as the other).
It came out after today's paper so I assume it will be in tomorrow's and sorry to say I'm not sure how to link to it.

David Remnick musing about Dylan in The New Yorker. The new book is the apparent motivation but it's about a lot more than that. Ignore the title, read the article.

A little self-awareness would go a long way:
https://www.newyorker.com/culture/cultu ... odern-song
After criticizing Obama for the excessively neat and balanced nature of his published book and music picks (what does he really listen to when nobody's looking/listening?) and after specifically acknowledging that Dylan's choice of songs for his book Philosophy of Modern Song are the idiosyncratic, personal and "I don't give a fuck what you think" kind of thing that Dylan does so well, Amanda Petrusich goes on to criticize Dylan for not including more women artists on his list. This is just plain unadulterated unthoughtful bullshit cloaked in pseudo feminism and it pisses me off.
I feel better now.

If this guy's impression is that good, maybe Bob should have hired him to autograph his book as well
