Been watching some Youtube videos. He was really quite remarkable. Probably the best guitar player I ever saw.
Saw him twice, one in Pensacola while he was still drinking. Great show. Saw a few years later in NOLA at the Audobon Zoo with Gregg Allman (I'm No Angel tour with Warren Haynes IIRC). Weather was bad towards the end but great show anyway.
Only white guy on the mural at BB Kings in Memphis.
