2nd tier FM radio dinosaurs from the '70s

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

Michael McDonald and Toto are playing at the Fox here in Atlanta as we speak. Couldn't pull the trigger on the extremely overpriced tickets but I'm there in spirit. :D

Bumping an old thread, I realize, but it's new to me as a new member.

For those who like the bands in this thread and/or enjoyed FM radio in the '70s and '80s, check out http://www.classicdeepcuts.com.

It's free streaming radio with no DJs and no commercials, but they do have some filler material between songs that can get annoying the hundredth time you've heard them, and they sometimes play music and comedy bits with NSFW language. I stream it often.

In addition to "deep cuts", I also like how they'll get on a theme now and then, such as playing five or six songs from one artist. For example, a little while ago they played a bunch of Eric Clapton songs, but all from different bands he was in. They play a lot of live tracks as well.

I have no affiliation with them - I'm just a fan.

How did I miss this thread the first go-round? Perhaps this was during my self-imposed exile, but I don't think so.
Anyway.
Lots of great blasts from pasts represented here. (And I do recall a different flute-related discussion from a "Hocus Pocus" by Focus post somewhere.)
As for the music...

(And yes, I know this is actually the early '80s.)

I interpreted "2nd tier" in terms of fame and not quality.

If they do "Lamb" in it's entirety, then encore with "Supper's Ready" (each with PG in costume), I'd definitely catch this. Otherwise - nice offer, not playing.
Now it's dark.

I'd go to any reunion with Gabriel. I trust his judgement.
The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

I couldn’t find a “Yacht Rock” or “Guilty Musical Pleasures” thread, so I’m posting here.

I was recently on an extended road trip with my family, and my wife violently cringed each time I would listen to the “Yacht Rock” station on satellite radio. The music may not be the best, but it’s a time machine for me to the am station played on our home radio intercom system when I was a child.

“Come sail away with me!” Oh yeah, and Steely Dan rocks!!!!

Stay safe, yall!!!

Love the Dan. Subversion, perversion, and aspersion wrapped in a smooth jazzy tortilla.
