Shit. Arrow was in 2012 ? I gotta put that in there somewhere. Probably replaces Royal Headache.

If I was rating those 6, it would probably be #1. Just a fantastic album.

As a side note I apologize for my large images. Ever since Amazon changed their images I have a hard time finding covers all the same size so sometimes I don't participate in these things just because. Any tips to this?

If you Google search "Amazon Music" and then do a band (or album) search on the actual Amazon Music site, you should get the mini photos of the albums.

You can also go to the "MP3 Music" section for images in the jpeg format though that obviously doesn't work for all albums.

also, amazon images end with a number of some sort which is the pixel size, and can be changed to literally anything

Code: Select all

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61fQeZQLljL._AA160_.jpg

If you copy/paste that url an change the "160" to "500", it will be bigger, etc., etc.

Catching up for the sake of completeness.

Bring It On Home - Joan Osborne
Celebration Rock - Japandroids
Temple Beautiful - Chuck Prophet
Arrow - Heartless Bastards
There Is A Bomb in Gilead - Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires
Blunderbuss - Jack White

This was a year of a bunch of likes, no loves so a whole bunch of others could replace these and I probably wouldn't notice: Patterson Hood, Father John Misty, The District Attorneys, Dr. John, Jay Gonzalez, Ray Wylie Hubbard and more. I doubt I'd come up w/ the same 6 twice if I did this every day for a week.

This can result in some ugly images if the image was optimized for 160. I use this technique the opposite way, to make the image smaller. Bigger isn't always better.
