My Morning Jacket-Futurebirds My Morning Jacket-The District Attorneys The influence is obvious in both but doesn't overwhelm. Just kind of a amazing that MMJ is already influencing young bands when they were a young band merely a decade ago.

I've never heard Fleet Foxes but absolutely on Band of Horses. Interesting that they've been that influential in a relatively short period of time.

Yes, huge. Wasn't their big break when Robbie Robertson chose them to play VM's tunes at his HoF induction?

Yeah, I think that really upped their profile.
With that said:

I haven't heard a ton of American Aquarium but I know early on they were accused of being Whiskeytown wannabes. When I saw them during Hopscotch last year I picked up on a very heavy Isbell vibe but I guess that can be chalked up to Jason producing their last record.

When Springsteen made his keynote speech at SXSW last year he was all about the Animals. That, I can definitely hear as well.

I still think the Boss has a more direct, obvious Roy influence. Wall of sound, crooning, pain + strut. There's tons of 50's-60's orchestral pop all over Boss's early work.
