I was familiar with some of their older stuff, but the new record (on one listen, mind you) seemed sort of....silly? The music was good, but the lyrics are so eye-roll worthy. I know they're doing the tongue-in-cheek thing, but come on

weird, cuz the older stuff is far more eye roll worthy lyrically

but like dime said, theyre not a lyric band at all so i dont care. i like this album for deviating more from the sabbath rehash template theyd done (albeit very well) to death in the past. most of the disappointed reactions ive seen have focused on that, nothing lyrical
