Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

very cool.

it would be awesome if they made it editable... the post-rock section needs some serious work!
i would never have thought that Cul De Sac would be represented there... had i seen this before last night, I would have told Glenn Jones to check it out (he's probably never owned a metal LP in his life).

This was the year I fell way out of the loop with metal, but I still caught some. Bell Witch, Kowloon Walled City, and Krallice all put out good stuff this year. I really liked the Sivyj Yar song I heard.

I'm sure most heavy music fans around here aware of this incident by now. Phil Anselmo gets hammered and lets his true colors show at Dimebash.

Think I'll be skipping the Down performance at Psycho Vegas. F you Phil.

i've never really followed Pantera or Down...i've shot the latter a couple of times, which were fun shoots, but really - fuck. this. guy.

the metalsucks essay was eye-opening. seems like he's skirted around this behavior a lot, and this is just not a one-off/benefit of the doubt instance.

DOWN's Appearance At FORTAROCK Canceled By Organizers Following PHILIP ANSELMO's 'White Power' Gesture

DOWN, the New Orleans-based act fronted by former PANTERA singer Philip Anselmo, has been removed from the billing of this year's edition of the annual Dutch festival FortaRock.

The FortaRock organizers said in a statement: "After the recent outbursts by singer Phil Anselmo during the Dimebash event in the U.S., his band DOWN is no longer welcome at FortaRock. Anselmo ended the show in the U.S. with a Nazi salute and shouted 'white power.'

"There has been close consultation between all parties recent days, since we wanted to make a well informed decision. On that basis, the decision is made to cancel the act. We want to make clear that there is no room for racism or fascism on FortaRock."

The 2016 edition of FortaRock is set to take place June 4-5 in Nijmegen.

Ha! Anselmo is a douche. I hope other event organizers follow suit.
