Damn I thought Old Ways came out in '84. If it was 85 I gotta remove Waterboys and replace with Neil.

Funny year - discovered most of these later. Not sure what I was listening to at the time. Aretha and Go Go Crankin' I guess and probably a bunch of what others have on their lists.

All of these are in my top 30 albums of all time, my favorite year after 1980. This is where "alt country" started for me. Cant believe I had to leave out Jason & the Scorchers
