Yeah, the Monkees. There were a lotta better albums that year, but I'd be lying if I said I liked 'em better than the first boy band (in my defense I was only 10). When I was still 9, I bought my first album (I think it was $4.99 @ the PX). It was The Doors. I loved Light My Fire & that's why I bought it, but I soon loved 3-4 others on the album even more.
My favorite song from 1967 is My Back Pages - Byrds (or Whiter Shade Of Pale, or Time Has Come Today or Judy In Disguise or Love Is All Around or 40-50 others)
Might be the best year ever for songs.
