6-Pack (1969)
My favorite one yet. So many tough omissions (most notably the 3 CCR records).

I only own a few albums from this year. Probably less than 10. Not enough statistical material to pick a six-pack of favorites I think. But one of my all time favorites was released in '69. Bitches Brew - Miles.

You really fucked me up here RolanK: As hard as it is, I could get to 6 but only by forgetting Bitches Brew. Now I'm stuck. The only way i can do this is by keeping Bitches Brew as my secret 7th w/out telling Cortez

Aaaaarrrgh! It now seems clear that I can only do this by forgetting about some albums. In this case, Dusty in Memphis. Damn.

Well, having done a bit more research Bitches wasn't released until 1970. (The Norwegian Wikipedia says '69, while the English page says April 1970). So there's still a chance you can work it into a six pack btb
So now my '69 sixpack is empty...
I could probalby ad both The Band and Led Zeppelin. Problem is I don't own these as complete original albums. Have some remastered compilation disks from the early 90's, which contain all the songs, but not in the order as on the albums.
Then:
The Meters - The Meters
Burritos - Guilded Palace of Sin
Stones - Let it Bleed
The Live Adventures of Mike Bloomfield and Al Cooper

Re: 6-Pack (1969)
Another tough year to pick from. Sure, I know that Let It Bleed deserves inclusion. I didn't quite appreciate it's brilliance at the time, though. These are the 6 I listened to the most back then. I could hardly pick which CCR album to include. These are other great albums from that year:
Procal Harum - A Salty Dog
Allman Brothers Band - S/T
King Crimson - Court Of The Crimson King
Blind Faith - S/T (woulda been in my top 6, but only 6 songs)
Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica
Crosby, Stills & Nash - S/T
and on & on
My favorite song from 1969 was CCR - Lodi
