Re: 6-Pack (2000)
Don't remember if I thought this was a bad year for music or if it was just one of those years when i didn't get to listen much, but here's my top 8 (pretty thin pickings!).
U2- All That You Can’t Leave Behind
Paul Pena – New Train
Maceo Parker – Dial Maceo
The New Pornographers – Mass Romantic
Radiohead – Kid A
Coldplay – Parachutes
Frisbie – The Subversive Sounds of Love
Outkast – Stankonia

I was station manager/MD at my college station in 2000, I cannot underestimate the craziness of Kid A's release and how much they (Capitol) catered to college kids. Seeing them transcend the underground to where they are now is nothing short of spectacular.
That White Stripes record was my first intro to the band. Remember when it hit my mailbox at the station. Loved everything that Sympathy for the Record Industry had put out previously so it was a no-brainer to pop that in and enjoy the listen.
