"Big Time," the title track to Angel Olsen's new album which is due on Friday, June 3rd. This is the second song I've heard from the album, both of which have a country flavor. I'm not sure if they're indicative of the sound of the new album as a whole but I'm sure loving what I've heard so far.

The title track from Caroline Spence's new album which is out today. She is someone a friend recommended to me quite some time ago that I never got around to checking out until just recently. I love everything I've heard so far.

From the new Sharon Van Etten album We've Been Going About This All Wrong which is out today. She took a different approach with this album, only releasing b-sides from it and no singles until today. I'm a fan but was not all that taken with some of what I heard from her previous album, Remind Me Tomorrow as I was not feeling the dance/pop vibe. That said, I did enjoy the acoustic versions of some of those songs she performed on Tiny Desk. I've only heard a couple songs from her new album so far, both of which I like. Looking forward to listening to more from it.

hey KG, there was a very cool facebook post by Robyn Hitchcock recently about his time at Boston's Tower Records, and Rawlings (then a student at Berklee) was mentioned.

Seminole Wind and Straight Tequila Night are so fucking cheesy and I LOVE them both. John Anderson is both a massive cheeseball and brilliant.

Can't say that I was ever really into John Anderson but I do like Donna the Buffalo's version of "Seminole Wind."

Twitter is supposedly imploding but I've honestly never been all that invested in it. Well, at least not until more recent months. Still, if it crashes and burns as is being predicted, I'm not really in search of a new platform. A tweet a few days ago about current female country artists led me to Bella White. I love everything I've heard by her so far. This is her new single.
