Last night I saw John Moreland play a back yard in Petaluma. Sold out crowd of 15. So good.

Well damn, that sounds fantastic! I’d say that’s as good of a win that anyone can hope for in 2020. Way to go Rod.

Saw Jimbo Mathus and Dial Back Sound (Matt Patton on bass) at Columbus Arts Council in Columbus, Mississippi last night. Columbus is a little redneck town in east Mississippi and I wasn't sure what to expect. It was great. The room was sold out and the band was fantastic.

Just bought tickets for the Flaming Lips in Seattle. May, 4 2022. Not a bubble show. In a big club, reasonably priced. Hopefully the show & myself will be happening.

Nice. Although, the bubble does sound cool. The one Covid rules show that I'm sad to have missed.

I'm hoping to catch Alvin Crow live tonight. :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Have fun! I'm still not ready for that yet. Hopefully things will be different in a year. About half the shows I had tickets for that were postponed have rescheduled. Still waiting on Wilco & DBT. Funnily enough, they were the first 2 that had to postpone here. I really hope Nick Cave & NIN reschedule. I have tickets for Roger Waters. He's going to be seriously pushing 80 by the time the show happens. He's honery enough where he'll probably still be going strong. Just to piss people off haha

Saw Molly Tuttle & Ketch Secor last night. Socially distanced tables, put a mask on to get up and dance.
Live music indoors. Felt like real progress.

Great to get out there to a fairly normal feeling show. The Moody Theater was about 50% capacity, and required vaccinations (on your honor). The wife and I went to a quick dinner downtown and caught the show. Jade Bird was great. She had a great stage presence (especially for a 23yr old) and just owned the show. Her band was tight - I can see her as a consistent draw on the festival scene. Really cool ACL taping, will air in October! Austin City Limits is BACK!

Nice. A guy that grew up in my hometown and one of my oldest friends gave Garth his first ever gig at Tumbleweeds in Stillwater.
It’s this gentleman:

American Aquarium rocked last night in their first show back on the road. Nashville has finally transitioned into something pretty well resembling pre-COVID environments.

Getting back into the swing of things down here in the Live Music Capital of the World! :D

Saturday I saw Lukas Nelson at Antone's, which I would guess was my last opportunity to catch him in a club. That guy is going to be playing Arena shows from here on out. His band was killer and the show was badass.

Sunday I caught a Doug Sahm tribute show with Shaun Sahm and friends...Speedy Sparks, a few Mavericks, Matt Hubbard, Shinyribs and a few other Austin royalty. I stood right next to Luke Wilson and got to talk with Kevin Russell (Shinyribs) for a while. It was awesome.

American Aquarium on Wednesday. No rest for the weary!

A buddy of mine sent me this shot from a show that I wasn't able to make. See if anyone can pick out it's significance for 3DD.

My wife and I are headed the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia next week to be tourists and to attend the Red Wing Music Festival.
Betty Lavette, Asleep At The Wheel, the Mavericks, Tim O'brien, Hiss Golden Messenger, and the act I'm most looking forward to, Scott Miller, are all on the bill.
We may try to hit a show in Knoxville or Cincinnati or DC during the week if it's something we're interested in and if it fits into our schedule.

Jesus !!! I'm jealous. The Blasters are a total force. I've never felt anything in my gut quite like a Blasters show.
