That was a fun night out in London. Tyler played on his own for about an hour and a half and told stories between the songs. the version of tatooes he played was the highlight of the night closely followed by 22nd Winter. Can definitely see what all the fuss is about.dogstar wrote:Tyler Childers in London tonight.
What was the audience like in London? When I saw Tyler Childers in DC he was great, but the audience was so awful it almost made the show unbearable. They were loud and shouting at him the whole time, telling him to play certain songs and yelling dumb shit at him all night. Not sure where they came from, but I've never seen such a rude crowd, anywhere.dogstar wrote:That was a fun night out in London. Weather Station on Wednesday night were fantastic. Great band and great versions of songs from all her albums. Tamara was getting over a cold but her voice sounded fine to me. Highly recommended.
Crowd was OK , usual idiots talking while he was playing but otherwise not too rowdy.allisonsdc wrote:What was the audience like in London? First time I saw him he was still under the radar and it was great. Second time was after the record came out. Got into it with an asshole and left before I got arrested. Probably won't go againallisonsdc wrote: What was the audience like in London? When I saw Tyler Childers in DC he was great, but the audience was so awful it almost made the show unbearable. I considered going a couple of days ago to his show in Columbus, but his ticket prices were silly expensive, especially considering the venueShakespeare wrote:saw noel gallaghers high flying birds last ngiht. solid, not great. free tickets, so cant really complain.
i like his latest album a bit but it had a weird vibe on stage, made even weirder when hed pull out an oasis track
he had some great backing vocalists (necessary, since his voice is not great live) but the band itself could have been better
I'm so bummed to hear this. I have a trade show in Amsterdam in April and he is playing at the old Heineken Music Hall the last night I'm leaving. I have nothing going that night except for flying out the next morning. It wasn't so disappointing that it would be a waste of my time to go, would it? How many Oasis songs did he play?Shakespeare wrote:saw noel gallaghers high flying birds last ngiht. solid, not great. free tickets, so cant really complain.

i think 5 oasis songs. i wouldnt call it a waste of time, provided the price isnt a barrier. i think this tour leg just kicked off, so maybe there was some rust. im still glad i went. ive seen a few more positive local reviews than mine, fwiw.Cubfan06 wrote:I'm so bummed to here this. Here it was an all GA venue that holds around 3500 (?). Tickets (before fees) were in the $75 range. I can’t imagine it sold outShakespeare wrote:it did not sell well here. the venue (6k capacity GA, 2k seated) had seats on the floor and was still giving away tickets. they were ~$40 i believe, which seemed decent for that venue.
not sure how attendance compared to local noel/liam/oasis gigs in recent years though
