Last night, Kris Kristofferson. My man crush is finally sated. Kinda what you'd expect from an 80 year old dude. Voice is worn, guitar picking was weak, and lots of timely and well worn one liners. Played all the hits. Ladies with gray hair screaming "I love you, Kris!!" Glad I got to see him.

I had never seen him either until the Hudson River Festival a few years back and despite all of those things you rightly point out, his greatness still shown through. After the show Patterson Hood, Jay Gonzales, Jason Isbell and Jay Farrar all stood on line waiting for his autograph. After Kristofferson finished with the musicians he came to the fence and signed autographs for nearly an hour. Class. Glad you got to see him.

WWCD?

Not stand in line for Kristofferson's autograph

A few years ago he was supposed to play Bridge School with The Hag but Merle was sick so it was just Kris. Before his set a young couple beside me asked who he was and what he had done. After I told them they thought I was making up that one guy had done all that and written such classic songs

There'll never be another human with a personal/professional resume like his. It's a cliche but it's absolutely true.

Saw Marshall Crenshaw and the Bottle Rockets last night. The Bottle Rockets were his backing band. Worst crowd I have ever seen at Headliners but a great show.

Good point. And Trump's just starting to scratch the surface of his potential.

Purchased U2 tickets today. Can't wait to hear The Joshua Tree in its entirety. I read on theringer.com that U2 never performed Red Hill Mining Town prior to this tour. Probably a fact that only interests me.
