Lots to choose from next month in my region. I'm going to try really hard to get to Nashville on the 18th to see Los lobos and hang around for Son Volt on the 19th.

Next show on the list is Greg Cartwright (of Reigning Sound, The Oblivians, Compulsive Gamblers) solo at the Beachland Tavern in Cleveland Aug. 2nd. Missed Reigning Sound last time they came around so looking forward to this one!

Why, thank you Tinnitus! Anyway, was that Queen or Brian May solo? If Queen, what happened to Paul Rodgers? John Deacon? Roger Taylor?

Tedeschi Trucks w/ Hot Tuna and the Wood Bros at Red Rocks this past Saturday.

What a great show. Really impressed with the Wood Bros, and TTB are just so good.

Got an Angel From Montgomery > Sugaree, which I was really hoping for. And they did not disappoint.

Deacon retired from live music about 20 years ago. Taylor is still playing w/ May and singing along w/ playing drums. pretty solid show!

I heard great music and got to reconnect with old friends. The band People's Blues of Richmond was awesome. Also Michael Franti was not someone that I anticipated liking but that I actually enjoyed.

I also got to see a college buddy, Jay Starling, who was playing with Keller Williams!

All signs point towards seeing MMJ on the 10th. It's always fun to see a band when they're not touring on a new album, as it's a complete guess as to what the set list will look like. Recent shows on this tour are as varied as ever.
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Last night sturgill Simpson and guns and roses. Sturgill only played 7 songs but it was great, he ripped that electric up, going to be a lot of fun to see him next month. I was shocked at how good guns and roses were, never saw them back in the day but those dude did it up.

Tried to see Tyler Childers last night, but it was sold out when I got there. I was going to buy tickets ahead of time, but was stubborn about paying fees, so figured I could just buy at the door. Lesson learned.

I did happen to see Tyler just standing over by the railing outside the venue, so I got to chat with him for a minute and buy a record, even though I couldn't get into the show. Really nice guy.

Saw Gillian Welch & David Rawlings at the Ryman last night, all I can say is WOW. Welch was every bit as entertaining as I’ve had people tell me in the past, and she kept everyone laughing and brought the house to their feet multiple times, and ended up doing 3 encores. Rawlings also has to be one of the best acoustic guitar players I’ve ever gotten to see live, I thought he was about to go up in flames at multiple points. Saw this morning where Jason Isbell tweeted how special of an experience it was. Easily the best show I’ve seen at the Ryman since the Truckers in January or Sturgill last year.
Turn it up to 10 and rip off the knob

Did they play individual sets or one combined set?

Combined. First set was The Harrow & The Harvest, 2nd set was mostly her material, though David did a song off his new record.
