That looks great Tim! Too bad Sleep's set conflicts with Conny Ochs. Conny is friends with a German Pearl Jam friend of mine who married a guy from Michigan and now lives in Michigan. Her name is Lisa in case you happen to meet Conny.

I would love to see Mythic Sunship. After I got into Causa Sui thanks to you, I checked them out as well since they are also on El Paraiso Records.

Note to self: Go to Roadburn in the future.

This past Saturday I went to the Lucero Family Block Party in Memphis. Torrential rains were predicted, and rain it did. The shows were billed “rain or shine,” but the bands weren’t allowed to play with lightening so the shows were eventually moved inside Minglewood Hall. Each band’s lead singer did an abbreviated acoustic set. Ben (Lucero) played with the accordion player. Ben apologized profusely for the weather and said he would play and sing till he passed out or puked (which he pretty much did). One of my favorites of the evening was Will Houge (?sp?) whom I had not seen previously. Will had smart lyrics and played a song called “If Jesus Came to Tennessee”! All in all I was impressed at how the bands came together to do something when the night appeared to be a wash out (no pun intended) for fans.

I kept looking for Jesse/JR 29 but didn’t see him. I did see a woman from work who became highly embarrassed due to the good time which she was having. I tried to explain that I have had a good time in Minglewood too (and lots of other places), but I was behaving because I was portraying a disciple the next day (Sunday) in church for a play/dramatization for Palm Sunday (truth). All in all, I had a blast! I went with my bother-in-law, and we’ll be going to Memphis in May/Beale St. Music Festival in a few weeks. I also pulled off the disciple gig the next morning...yee haw!

The weather was enough to keep me at home. I've been to the block party 2-3 times when rain was an issue but Saturday was a little extreme.

Yes. He is playing old Pink Floyd songs.
Just saw that Roger Waters sat in during one of Nick's shows at the Beacon Theater in NYC. He did vocals and played the big gong for Set the Controls...

it wasn't a big surprise to run into Bill at Desertfest but it was a welcome one nonetheless! damn that ruled (aside from the weather being about 20 deg too cold).

That’s a sweet clip Clams. Just checked their tour dates.........gonna try to catch them at Belly Up Aspen (best indoor venue there is imo). Or Meow Wolf Sante Fe which looks like an insane place to see a show. And voted one of the best small venues in the country.
