Re: Who's Everyone Seeing Live?
Well, I would be going to see the Felice Brothers (they are coming to a club that is a seven minute walk from my house), except I'll be on vacation that week.
So, Yay vacation; Boo timing.

James McMurtry at the Casbah in Johnson City, TN on 4-30.
Will Hoge and Joanne Shaw Taylor on 4-29 at the Paramount in Bristol. JST isn't really my thing but this is exciting since Steve is doing a song to open the show AND It's a memorial show for a friend of ours AND it's gonna benefit a spay and neuter fund that I work with. Rock!

was Derek sitting? He broke his ankle playing hoops.... Am I the only one that has trouble thinking of Derek doing ANYTHING remotely athletic? Love the guy, but he doesn't look like he'd have much in the way of hoops acumen. That said, I love him, he's absolutely one of the best at his chosen profession. Wish I had seen the Brothers last night

Re: Who's Everyone Seeing Live?
Just saw Deer Tick in a lil restaurant/bar in Santa Cruz on Saturday, about 100 people and it was GREAT!
Just heard them for the first time in the fall, and really like what they do.
Derek Trucks is the MAN!
Doesn't matter, w/ the ABB or his own Band, Kid KILLS it.
I'd love to see him w/ Susan doing the Soul Review.
Worked a show w/ her about 8-9 yrs ago when she was backed by Double Trouble and she rocked.
I don't see him busting hoops either, but good for him, hope he gets back on the court soon.

Saw The Oranges Band and Doug Gillard Saturday. Great fun rock show.
I recommend both.
Oranges Band's last 2 albums "The World & Everything In It" & "Are Invisible" are pretty enjoyable and big favorites of mine from the Baltimore rock scene.

This was a solid show. Really enjoyed it, and had very little knowledge of BTF going in.
Going to see Horse Feathers this Saturday. I liked their last album, haven't picked the new one up yet... figured I would at the show.

last year i think i shot over 80, including a couple of festivals. over 200 bands total.
i typically stay for the whole show, but i got just a photo pass and not a ticket for this one. i might try to find an empty seat in the balcony later on.

Shit bubba, you should schlep on over to Northampton 5/11 to see him in a tiny room at the Iron Horse. I saw that listing and thought of you... I'm guessing that's an hour and change drive from where you are?
