Saw Sarah Shook & the Disarmers last night at the Wayfarer in Costa Mesa. It was the last night of their tour and they were great. What a killer band.

I really like what they do. I was going to go to Cleveland in October to see her but now I'm thinking see them in Charlotte on Sept 19 and on the 20th the DBTs play in the same venue. 2 shows one trip.

I figure I'll ride my motorcycle south and call it a mid life crisis since I turn 50 on Sept 17th. My wife and kid are out of town that weekend because my son is off at Hockey Referee school.

I saw White Denim on Wednesday night in Cardiff. Favourite gig of the year so far. Apart from the Truckers this is the band I will travel almost anywhere to see.

Me as well Zip. They only have 4 this year, rumor has it they are working on a new studio album as well as a live one, although I have been hearing about this supposed live album for a couple years. Fingers crossed for a full tour in 2020, one of the best live shows out there in my opinion.

I don't see nearly as many shows as most of you here, but I had to mention my Hill Country weekend with Lyle Lovett at the Moody Theatre in Austin and Ray Wiley Hubbard at the famed Luckenback Dance Hall on Saturday. Fantastic weekend. Ray Wiley was a bucket list item checked (and shockingly, my wife enjoyed it!).
