Who's Everyone Seeing Live?

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

Saw the Mountain Goats last night in Green Bay with Adeem the Artist opening. It was awesome. Adeem tore the house down and I wish they both would have gotten 90 minutes apiece.

I'm going to try to catch at least one of those Panic shows. Note! Southern Culture on the Skids is doing a week residency at the Continental Club this week as well. They go on at 12am (eek) - So I might see if my big boy pants still fit and hit Panic+SCOTS in a night.

Bill - if you are in town tomorrow night - this will be a cool show - https://www.austinchronicle.com/events/ ... t-3018393/

I've never seen Trampled By Turtles before but I am seeing them open for Zach Bryan in Oakland. Need to check out some of their stuff!

Saw Paul Thorn once at Summerfest in Milwaukee on a day when DBT played. He was fun.

Paul Thorn started at 5 last night, and only played for about an hour, and missed him. I’m looking forward to Leftover Salmon tonight!

At long last Crowded House with Liam Finn doing an opening set tonight. I'm a huge Neil Finn going back to Split Enz days. I even anted up to see him with Fleetwood Mac (Neil was great). This tour was postponed so I've been waiting a long time. The setlist from Vancouver last night was excellent. Should be a good one!

Saw Tedeschi Trucks last night at a new outdoor amphitheater here in Austin. Man, what a show - they never disappoint. For my money...Derek Trucks is the greatest living guitarist.

I was supposed to be at Beale St Music Festival/Memphis in May last weekend but had Covid for the second time and didn’t go. I didn’t feel too badly and wasn’t excited about missing the festival, but figured it was small potatoes in the big scheme of things.

Saw Billy Strings at Red Rocks on Friday. It fucking ruled. We got there about 4.5 hrs before they opened and wound up in 4th row of GA. We were more fortunate than the folks who were at the Thursday show and had to endure 2" of rain in 45 degree temps with nasty wind on top of it. Had the occasional sprinkle while waiting in line but had generally good weather on show day.

Dexateens on Saturday at Mom's Basement in Birmingham. I've heard good things about the bar, but I've never been. Pics online look like this place is way too small for a Dexateens show.

I was able to see Willie Nelson receive the LBJ Lifetime Achievement Award last week. Pretty special. Eric Church, Sam Hunt, Elle King and Lyle Lovett performed. https://www.lbjaward.org/

Also caught Jason Isbell last week with the 400 Unit. Great show as always, played a few off the upcoming record that sounded nice and closed with Danko/Manuel!

Supposed to go to Hoodoo Gurus tonight. Not sure I'm going to make it. The theater is near ground zero for a weekend traffic Armageddon. Also, stuck with an extra ticket. We'll see closer to show time.
