My Morning Jacket & Durand Jones were excellent Saturday. MMJ played over 2.5 hours & were totally on. Great show to break my concert quarantine. Carl Broemel is an incredible musician. "One Big Holiday" blew the roof off the theater as it do!

Just got home from the Mountain Goats in Nashville, tomorrow is Jason Isbell.
Turn it up to 10 and rip off the knob
Re: Who's Everyone Seeing Live?
Wilco & Young Fresh Fellows were wonderful on Wednesday night. It was the second of 2 nights & looking at the setlists the better of the 2 shows. I find that often is the case & try to go to night 2 when I can.

Re: Who's Everyone Seeing Live?
The wife and I and some friends went to Nashville this weekend. Friday night we saw Isbell and his band at the Ryman which was pretty fuckin awesome and fun. Isbell's on top of the world these days and he and his band sounded really good. His opener, Allison Russell, gave an amazing, emotional and joyful performance and Jason joined her to play guitar and sing on the Petty/Nicks' duet Stop Dragging My Heart Around. Saturday night we saw Cary Hudson do a set at a tiny place called The Five Spot in East Nashville. It was my first time seeing him and he did not disappoint. Not only was his set fabulous but we chatted a bit afterward and he's a really nice guy too. Another Mississippi songwriter Afton Wolfe, who's got a serious Tom Waits thing going, did a set too. A really good music weekend.

Cool pics, Clams.
Thanks for sharing.
We were on the rail for Jason's show in Harrisburg PA in August. Best JI & 400 Unit I've seen.
Band is really on fire now.

Was on a business trip in Chicago this week and ran into a friend that was on a business trip as well....so caught Chuck Prophet!
Tonight I'm going to see:
Lucinda Williams, Alejandro Escovedo, Wilco, Terry Allen, Rosanne Cash, John Doe, Bill Callahan, Margo Price and Jason Isbell. Decent lineup...

That is great news. Honestly, I have been a little bored the last couple of times I saw him, but I now have tickets for his next show in Oslo in November..... 2022(!)Clams wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 11:09 amThe wife and I and some friends went to Nashville this weekend. Re: Who's Everyone Seeing Live?
Hayes Carll last night in Ardmore PA. I think this was the first night of his east coast tour. He's got a four piece band and was in fine storytelling form. He covered Ray Wylie Hubbard (Mississippi Flush) and he slayed em with She Left Me for Jesus. New stuff sounded great too.
