Agree - he was indeed great. Top notch band, songs about great stuff like cowboys, trains, trucks, horses, drinking and killing. Plus he covered TVZ and RWH.

Seeing Childers at a festival in Knoxville this weekend. Haven’t been to a show of his yet that I wouldn’t call top notch.

Also Sarah Shook, Rayland Baxter, and others at the same event, though I’m a little disappointed that Lukas Nelson backed out relatively late.

Great show but I was in the most annoying section of fans I've ever been around. It was packed so moving around was pretty tough.

Highlight for me was a Goose Creek Symphony cover, Tulsa Turnaround.

Jr and I had different experiences at Tyler Childers. Bryan and I ate a big meal pre show (The Bbque Shop in Memphis—phenomenal) and were tired so we found chairs in the back. Things were crowded but not packed in the back. I never saw Jr, but we talked later and I told him that I noted a much higher percentage of female audience members than at shows which I normally attend.

I’m leaving for my Deer Tick weekend in a few hours, and my song remains the same! I’m really excited about the lake house, the venue, and spending time with my friends/wife, but I’m having trouble getting into Deer Tick!

Saw Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives for about thirty minutes tonight on the town square in Batesville, Mississippi....right on the edge of the delta. After thirty minutes a big storm rolled in and ended the fun.

Fun show but kind of a weird venue - super small, all seated and BYO (I prefer the bottle rockets in a loud sweaty bar). My wife really loves Sarah Borges so it was a great double bill for us. Borges might be the nicest person in rock and roll since Patterson Hood.
