Who's Everyone Seeing Live?

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

There's just something about their sound that has never appealed to me. Creepy Perry and his grating voice seals the deal.
Beebs is not a ragey man

Sat night was the Wheels of Soul tour featuring North Mississippi Allstars, Los Lobos and Tedeschi Trucks Band. Guest appearances by Col. Bruce Hampton (ret.) and Jimmy Herring. All I can say is that if the tour rolls through your town be sure to go see it. Amazing show start to finish and all three bands are killing it right now

I have always wanted to hit up the Newport Folk Festival. Did you catch Ryan Adams set with the Infamous Stringdusters and Niki Bluhm sitting in? If so, how did it sound? I read that he opened with a Slayer cover.

he opened w/ "South of Heaven" and was wearing a Venom shirt.

we had to shoot from the soundboard (prima donna, along w/ Ray LaMontagne) and from what i saw it sounded good. the problem w/ covering Newport as a photographer is that you're constantly on the run, covering 4 stages.

coverage from day 2:

and day 1 as well:

Wow. Outstanding photos as usual man. They are all great, however the first one of Norah Jones singing into your camera looks sexy as hell!

I'm with you! I was 25 years in the music biz & got to do a lot of stuff that others didn't. I work for a certain aerospace multinational devil corporation now as a ghost in the machine. I truly hate it but the health insurance is good (key right now). I say it is my penance for having work that I actually liked for so long. Not everyone can say that. We've IM'd but again, I enjoy your work. At one point I had some talent in that area but the wheel spun elsewhere. I did teach my goddaughter about photography some & she is very good. I feel good about that! :)

Sported my grey Cooley bird/It's Great to be Alive tee last night at the show and by coincidence my buddy had on his English Oceans shirt. We got recognized before the show by a fellow DBT fan. Don't know if he is on this forum or not but thought that was kinda cool.

This year has been barren for me. So far the only live music I've seen was a short set by Michael Dean Damron, in April. I do have tickets for shows in October by DBT, Brian Wilson, and Jimmy Buffett. Two Cow Garage is also supposed to be out here in October, so I got that going for me.
Keep calm and have a cigar
