Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

Shit bubba, you should schlep on over to Northampton 5/11 to see him in a tiny room at the Iron Horse. I saw that listing and thought of you... :) I'm guessing that's an hour and change drive from where you are?

Didnt know about that date, but damn, i'll be driving more or less right past there (well, at least the turn off from the hiway, lol) on Tues aft on my way to the big apple. Bad timing once again (missing DBT AND Dexateens on the same nite in june, too).

I made a last minute trip down to San Francisco the other night and saw Michael Dean Damron, Chad Price, Micah Schnabel and Piss Pissedofferson, all play solo acoustic at Thee Parkside in Potrero Hill for five bucks.

Old Crow tonight - even though I'm sleepy and really would prefer to go straight home! I'm doing a favor for a fellow music fan who is new in recovery. His sponsor told him that he could NOT go to a bar to see music unless he was accompanied by someone with some significant clean time. He's a good kid and couldn't find anyone in recovery who would go with him or who had ever even heard of Old Crow. The kid is a Trucker fan, so I'm gonna be a good Momma and play chaperone. I hope they don't play too, too late.

I saw Familjen live last night. I wanted to go see The Brian Jonestown Massacre but since none of my friends have any sort of taste in music we went to see Familjen instead. Familjen is a Swedish electropop guy (Familjen means The Family) and it was pretty cheap so it was alright... He was pretty good live, and it seemed like he was high or something  There was plenty of people there since he's pretty big among the indie/hipster crowd here in Sweden, but I think most of his songs are kinda meh but he's got a few really good pop singles, and when he was doing those it was a lot of fun at least... I've been sick for about a week so it was great to finally be out doing something... I'm still betting that BJM would've been better though.
