Carrie and Corin were originally in Sleater-Kinney. These days Carrie is in Wild Flag (and also stars in the TV series
Portlandia ). Corin now fronts the Corin Tucker Band.

^ what he said. Can't go wrong with Sleater-Kinney. Kickass vocals and drumming too. Check it:VIDEO Wild Flag is great too. Corin's solo album is ok, but quieter than the S-K stuff.

saw Alex a few years ago with TSO, great guitarist, I love his jazz trio

Niiiiiice. I have to give some thought to my speed/death metal phase (those were the days). Skolnick was great as the young'un in Testament and then for a nice 180: awesome in his jazz trio as well. I know he got back with Testament a year or so ago, but is he still doing the jazz stuff? I hope so.
Props to whoever mentioned Chuck Schuldiner as well. That guy was the shit!

I've been living in the early '80s a bit lately, and listening to old stuff, also discovered some new stuff I hadnt heard.
But no git-box thread is complete without a mention of John McGeoch: Magazine, Public Image Limited, Siouxsie and the Banshees. (plus Visage)

Don't think he's been mentioned. I though of him in the "underrated guitarists" thread (or maybe I posted, can't remember, too lazy the check). Agree he was a great guitarist (and songwriter).
