Just ordered mine as well. This is my favorite album of 2012 so far and I can't wait to catch these guys live.

Somebody please tell me how to link these properly - the youtube button isn't doing it for me.

Not, perhaps, the best recording of "Opelika" but it's got me and Lurleen's heads in it so win.

Click on "Share" beneath the clip then just use the portion in bold to wrap in the YouTube tag. To see what we've done, quote the post. Don't feel bad, I could never figure it out for the longest time either.

Then they can't be happy to know I was still feeling frustrated afterward. ;)

Nice review Crustyharp, as always you write well. This album is indeed a monster. If there's any justice in the world a whole lot of people are about to find that out.

C'mon now Crusty, now you're just showing off ;) :) That's a seriously erudite review in its own folksy way. Well done and right on the money.

Dammit, Bubba - you made me go and get the dictionary out. I thought you were talking about my Aunt Erudite (long "e" on the end) who I haven't seen since I was seven. When the circus came to our little town, she ended up falling in with them - landed a berth as their resident bearded lady and fire eater. I never knew for sure, but my folks told me she came to a tragic end during a matinee performance in Kansas. Pretty hung over, I guess - no way to be with a mouth full of flames and a face full of fur. (I've since thought they told me that to try to discourage me from drinking. That didn't work. I can't grow a beard worth shit, anyway.)

But, yeah - LB III & The Glory Fires ... goddamn.

Naaahhhh...in this age of the brazilian, it would just mark me as old.

But damn, crusty, that story sounds like a song by the band. Not "Life is a Carnival" though. Is your aunt Erudite related to my cousin Aphrodite? They have the same last e.

Gonna try my best to check them out in Louisville on June 21st. It's 2 days before we leave for vacation, but I think I can make it work.

Go for it! Can't you get Thor or Loki or someone to intervene on my behalf?
