Hard to miss that when 23% of your posts on 3DD are either that album cover, or some mention of them.

I"m tempted to get this, but I already have "Don't You Know Who I Think I Was" ( a best of compilation). I've been digging it lately.

Finally, that ole obsession bug has hit, big time! :)

Band: The Band

Album(s): The Band (s/t) and Music From Big Pink

In case u can't tell, i'm about halfway thru Barney Hoskyns so far excellent Across the Great Divide.

Song: "Lovin' Cup" (alternate take from the revised/remastered version of Exile. OK, I found it in the NY Times, but holy shit! This is excellent, a real kick in the pants. Lovin Cup (alt take) is to Lovin Cup (original) as Honky Tonk Women is to Country Honk. Well worth the download!!

Artist: Little Feat Always loved this band but am currently on a Little Feat binge
Album: Blood Sweat and Tears Child is Father to the Man Most people think the self titled album with "Spinning Wheel" is the first BST album. But prior to that it was Al Kooper's band. Child is the first and, by far, the best album. Great Gil Evans style horn arrangements.
Song: "I Feel Alright" Steve Earle Been a favorite of mine for over a decade, but, after enough chemo to kill a medium size mammel and a stem cell transplant, I really do feel alright. Listen to this song in the morning and I know it will be a good day.
I have nowhere else to go. There is no demand in the priesthood for elderly drug addicts

Yup. Her vox still grace this band. Also, how did I not see that they had a live record out? Gotta order that.
