Mick Hucknall is a great singer but this is just wrong.
Looks like a bunch of little whiny fucksticks to me

This is just embarrassing. The parts of The Faces' legacy not tarnished by Rod in the ensuing years certainly will be from this abomination. Ronnie Lane is rolling in his grave.

Could have saved yourself the trouble of a new thread and just posted in blasphemy.

This may never come to fruition. Remember, Ronnie Wood is involved....

1. ill-conceived - poorly conceived or thought out; "an ill-conceived plan to take over the company"
misguided
foolish - devoid of good sense or judgment; "foolish remarks"; "a foolish decision"

You can't have The Faces Reunion without Rod. Don't care if Woody is involved.

Rod needs to put the Songbook down and get with it
and until he does, the guys should wait
did you read in the comments where its rumored Mick Hucknail will be "Red Stewart"?

The first comment underneath the article is funny if it is indeed his "Macness"
At Stewart’s O2 Arena show on Saturday night, he made a perhaps surprising admission. “You know what I saw on the TV the other day? There’s gonna be a Faces reunion without me. Mick Hucknall of Simply Red is the new lead singer.”
At this point, the crowd of 22,000 Rod Stewart fans started to boo.
“He’s a great little shouter,” protested Rod, which is about as backhanded as a compliment can get.
“Give them a chance,” said Rod, when the booing continued. “I’ll get back there some time.” And then, as if to make a particularly barbed point, he introduced the next song as: “This was our only big hit, ‘Stay With Me’ “. And played, it should be said, a rip roaring version, which was the closest he got in a slightly cheesy all-round-entertainer set to real, ragged rock and roll.

I don't think it's really The Faces without Ronnie Lane.

They played with Tetsu Yamauchi (from Free) for a year or two after Ronnie Lane, although I really do agree with you.

Unless I'm sure that I'm going to get to hear Three Button Hand Me Down, I'm not going.

It saddens me when bands do this. Damn.
I love Faces. And w/o Rod its just a cover band.

Re: The Faces to reunite (w/o Stewart)
I don't really understand this. Why does it have to be the Faces? If Woody, Kenney Jones, and Ian McLagen wanted to tour why not just do it as something new? They could play Ronnie & Mac's solo stuff as well as Faces material, but when you call it something it's not then it's just a joke.

right but I wouldn't figure Ronnie needs it, Mac has never seemed to seek it but I guess Kenney could be broke.
